Of course as many of the UFC fans worldwide have been waiting, here it comes, the first UFC 2022 PPV card is almost here and it’s a big one, with Francis Ngannou to counter Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight title.
Of course definitely it also hosted a bronze flyweight title match between Brandon Moreno and Deiveson Figueosystemo. This will be the third match between the two. The previous two were both barn-burners, so expect great.
Now the question is will Ciryl Gane be able to spread the immense power of Francis Ngannou with his skillful footwork and technical swings, or will Ngannou topple another heavyweight in minutes? It can really go one of two ways.
My personal prediction: I see Gane will take down. During their first fight, Stipe Miocic was able to control and tire Ngannou by grappling with him. That was not part of Gane’s skill.
Looking at this in the basic way, he actually needs to knock down and stay unscathed for two rounds with the deadliest puncher in UFC history.
To add to that, note that how good Ngannou’s timing in the past has been against technically superior strikers, I expect Gane to be hit hard soon. That said, Gane could overtake the second biggest puncher in the tournament in Derrick Lewis.
